Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller Installation - 2023 Hyundai Palisade- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the REDARC Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller on a 2023 Hyundai Palisade. Now, choosing a brake controller for your vehicle, when you plan on towing a trailer with brakes, normally you're probably used to ones that are pretty large and they mount up and you hit your knees on them every time you come in. And that's where the REDARC really changes the game. You have such a small switch that it keeps it pretty well OEM looking and you can really have the customization to mount wherever you want, but you get all the usability of a brake controller at the push of a button. Your manual override is a simple push of a button and as you adjust your gain, the colors will also change when you have your trailer hooked up, but that's how you adjust how intense the brakes are gonna be coming on. The rest of the brake controller is all hidden away, so the brains of the operation isn't visible, so you get all the usability with just that small little switch that you'll see. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe we're going to be showing you how to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Trailer Brake Controller. And we're going to be installing that in conjunction with the Curt 7-Way Trailer Wiring Plug as well as the Curt Adapter Plug and a Redarc Adapter Plug. But before we get into all that let's just take a couple minutes, check this out and make sure it's going to work for you. Today on our 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe we're gonna be showing you how to install the REDARC Tow-Pro Liberty Trailer Brake Controller with the Universal Wiring Harness and we're gonna be installing that in conjunction with the Curt Custom-Fit Seven-Way Plug, as well as the Curt Trailer Brake Controller Adapter. Before we get into that though, let's just take a couple of minutes check this out and make sure it's gonna be right for you. With the SLT model SUVs being more and more capable nowadays, people like to use 'em to do a little bit of towing and even some larger trailers and it makes sense, you know, you said only to pull big enough trailer around and still have a vehicle that gets decent fuel mileage and things like that and so with that said, if your trailer has brakes on it, whether they're electric brakes or even electric over hydraulic, you're gonna need a way to apply 'em and that's where this brake controller is gonna come into play. Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller Installation - 2021 Hyundai Palisade- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty brake controller on a 2021 Hyundai Palisade. When adding a brake controller to a vehicle that tows a trailer with brakes is a great idea, it just makes it easier to tow and if you start to get that sway you can even it out with a nice manual override. And also you can have proportional braking, so when you're applying the brakes on the vehicle, it'll proportionally add that to the trailer, bringing it to a slower stop. The downside, a lot of times that you think of with brake controllers is hitting your knees as you get in. Your traditional brake controller is normally mounted somewhere into the dash and newer cars are just getting harder to find that spot without smacking your knees on it. And overall they're just pretty clunky and Redarc's really done a fine job of eliminating that large piece and keeping the footprint nice and small and looking OEM. more

Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video

Hi there, Hyundai owners. Today, on your 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha's BRAKE-EVN trailer brake controller. In addition to the trailer brake controller, we're gonna be using kit ETBC7 here at etrailer to help us get all the wiring and seven-way connector mounted up here at the back. And this is what our brake controller looks like when it's installed. You have adjustments here on the left and the right, and the brake controller's purpose is to activate the brakes on your trailer when you're hauling your trailer. Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2020 Hyundai Palisade- Video

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Tekonsha P3 Prodigy Brake Controller here on our 2020 Hyundai Palisade. The Tekonsha P3 Prodigy is one of the most popular proportional brake controllers on the market just because it's super easy to install and use. And when I say proportional brake controller, what I mean is that the brakes are going to be applied on your trailer in proportion to how hard you press the brakes in your vehicle. So if you make a light stop, maybe you're coming up to a stop sign and you're just barely pressing on the brakes, it's gonna proportionately activate the brakes on your trailer versus if you had to slam on the brakes, maybe you're gonna get into an accident on the highway and you slam on 'em, then it is going to slam on the brakes on your trailer as well to help stop them in time. Right now you can see that our setting for our brake power is at zero and that's because it's not applying to brakes. If you look at your little arrows right here, it's going to give you your brake settings. more

Clayton: Hello, everyone Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today I have a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. We'll be taking a look at and I'll show you how to install the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty Brake Controller. Brake controls are really nice because it'll slow our trailer down and keep us from wearing out the brakes on our vehicle and it's a little bit safer because if that trailer pushes and we have to slam on our brakes hard, it could be catastrophic.Now this is a very simple kit to install and it looks really nice in our vehicle. We're not going to be hitting our knee on it and it's going to look really nice on our dash. This is the only part of our brake controller actually visible and a lot of them are a big box that we have to mount down here and when you're getting in or out, it's really common to knock your knees on them, knock them out of alignment and it's an eyesore in the cab of the vehicle. more

Curt Spectrum Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2020 Hyundai Palisade- Video

Connor : Hey guys, how's it going Connor here today at etrailer.com. We're going to be taking a look at the CURT Spectrum trailer brake controller here for our 2020 Hyundai Palisade.So, our CURT Spectrum brake controller here is going to be an excellent option for our vehicle. The main reason I feel that this is because it's going to have a super, super clean installation. As we can see here, the only thing we're going to have mounted on our dash is the actual control knob, which we have these nice illuminating lights that you can change the colors in the settings. So, it's going to offer a very clean factory-like finish, if you will. We've actually went ahead and mounted it here on our fuse panel cover, and the reason for this is if we do decide to remove the brake controller, we could replace this panel and have a complete factory interior and dash. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 trailer brake controller, part number 90195. To help with inaudible 00:00:12 installation, we're going to be using the universal installation kit for trailer break controllers, part number ETBC7.So, here's what our P3's going to look like once it's installed. Now, this is going to be a proportional brake controller, which means it's going to apply the brakes to our trailer in the same intensity, and time that apply them in our towed vehicle. So, if we ease in to a stop, our trailer brakes are going to come on very light. But if we come to a panicked stop, our trailer brakes are going to apply just as quickly as we apply them in our car. Our P3s going to be able to handle trailers anywhere from one all the way up to four axles. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video

Today, on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Tekonsha PowerTrac electronic braking control system, Part #39523, with assistance from from ourETBC7 wiring harness, part#ETBC7. Here's what it's going to look like once it's installed. Let's go ahead and plug in our trailer to see the green light on the side turn on. This will indicate that our trailer is plugged in, and then when we remove our trailer, or unplug it, you'll see that light turns off. Once again, we'll bring it in, and leave it connected, while we talk about the gain button that's here on the left. You'll have a little wheel that goes up to increase the gain, or down, depending on which way you mount your box. more

Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video

All right, today, on this 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited, we are going to install part number 90195. This is Tekonsha Prodigy p3 trailer brake controller. Now to help us with our install, we will also be using part number ETBC7. We are going to start off by making access from the inside to the outside. We will go ahead and drill a pilot hole first on the fire wall from the inside. We will drill a 1/4" pilot hole, now go ahead and use our hole saw, it doesn't really matter what size, just enough to get us some working room so we don't tear up the carpet as much. Now we will be using a step bit to enlarge our hole. We've got our hole drilled out, we will go ahead and mount our circuit breakers. more
